With kind regards, on behalf of the GfV
Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the foundation of our society, we are proud to host this year´s spring meeting of the Gesellschaft für Virologie in Berlin. The first GfV spring meeting was held in Potsdam in 1991, still under the fresh impression of the German re-unification. After a successful series of 29 annual conferences that had influence on a whole generation of German-speaking virologists, there is reason to celebrate. Join us in three full days of inspiring lectures and talks, poster presentations and social activities that provide ample opportunity for exchange.
The program will again comprise an impressive lineup of keynote lectures that will provide highlights on new developments in our field as well as related disciplines. The oral contributions and posters will be selected with a particular focus on young scientists, enabling them to present their achievements, exchange ideas, and establish new links with junior and senior colleagues from other groups.
Berlin´s research landscape has developed and grown impressively over the past 30 years. The city is now one of the largest foci for Life Sciences in Germany, and the leading venue for dialogue between science, politics and society. We welcome you to this energizing environment that at the same time provides ample opportunity for leisure, education and inspiration beyond virology. Come to one of the most fascinating destinations for science and join us for GfV 2020.
